PeaceDoodle originated out of joy. I’ve spent years reigniting my love of line, shape, and sketch and as I have shared this practice with others I witnessed joy spreading. Now, with an international community of like-minded doodlers it is time to spread that joy while also fostering PEACE: One Doodle at a Time. Learn more.

Gearing up to spread peace. The International Day of Peace happens every Sept 21. This is the 25th anniversary of the event. It is difficult for teachers to hold classroom efforts since it’s a Saturday, but the rest of us can be mindful of seeing each other’s humanity and spreading the idea of a peaceful world. Make learning accessible to everyone by creating engaging activities that are relevant to students. Be aware of activities that can boost the chemicals in the brain that assist in learning and make us happier.

@alejoporrasart started moving chairs onto tables,

@alejoporrasart started moving chairs onto tables, then upside down, and sideways and we all knew we were in for an exercise in ‘seeing.’ “How to Make Your Sketchnotes More Dynamic” brought both surprises and permission.

Permission to let our personalities not our perfectionism lead the sketch. Uplifting and fun, I believe a lot of learning occurred here.

#ISC24TX is a wrap. It will be many days of reflection and capturing of lessons learned and moments shared now. My #sketchnotes are still in process, but this collaborative effort, #passtheiPad or #passthesketchote built camaraderie and laughter while we waited for our last shared meal together. @rosariossa restaurant was a great place to be together. @profclayton we missed you, but each of us thanked you profusely for your Texas hospitality.
